Best places to have a beer in Porto

The arty city of Portugal has a lot of history of creativity and rebellion. The case with beer is no different. I tried to find the best beer and the best places to have it. Here is what I found

A fabrica da Picaria

A nice place with a nice vibe, with nice food and even nicer beer. Your typical craft beer bar with great service and fun people!

Letraria - Craft Beer Garden Porto

Probably my favorite place in Porto for a beer. So good that I forget to take a photo of it every time I visit

Garden of Morro

Grab a beer from a supermarket and cross the bridge to drink it in this amazing park, or even buy one (for much more money) in the park itself. This is a spot for people to just come and chill. In the summer days musicians come there to give free concerts and as a bonus you can see the sunset over the river.

A Regaleira - Not exactly a craft beer place, instead it is the best place in town to try local Francesinha. And they earn a spot on this list because they have one special beer that is brewed especially for them in a collaboration with a local brewery

Base Porto

Another park for having beer, except that this one is in the city center, over viewing all the important landmarks and has a bar in the middle of it. Easy life, unless it rains.

Cervejaria Cask Beer

A craft beer bar close to the river and to other culinary experiences. The place has a nice vibe and plenty of local craft beer to choose from. Both on tap and from bottles

Final thoughts

This list consists only of places that I've been in to try their beer and liked it. My list of places that I still want to try is long and it will take me time to visit all of them. Porto is big and the beer choice is bigger... In the meantime, if you feel that I really missed out on something, let me know!
