Medellin for foodies. Our favorite places to get food in El Poblado

Medellin has a variety of culinary options, with El Poblado district leading the way as the most touristic one. If you are in it for the food, check out the list of the places that made our bellies happy!

If you read the beer in El Poblado post (or half of the other posts for that matter) you would know that I like my beer. You know what goes with beer? That's right, food! I'm not a big foodie, but Lucy is. This is a list of Lucy-approved places to eat in El poblado

Las Delicias De La Flaca

For a late night food, after hanging out in the vibrant El Poblado, you can head to this tiny (2 tables) Mexican restaurant. The tacos are great, the service is very personal (hey, you are basically sitting in their kitchen...) and the prices are friendly. We had a blast!

Dim Sum Records

If you are into Asian fusion, this is the place for you. With amazing food and a nice design, you will fill your bellies and let your eyes and ears enjoy. Make sure to thry their home-made lemonades

Tamagotchi ramen bar

A must visit if you are a fan of ramen! The food was delicious and the restaurant decor makes you feel like you're in Japan, or at least in a Colombian version of it!

El Correo Provenza

One of the high-end places to eat in El Poblado, but with friendly prices. The food is just amazing (the best steak we ever had!) and as a bonus they also have craft beer! Definitely worth a visit for anyone that loves food

Don Diablo Steakhouse

If you need to choose only one place to eat at while you are in Medellin, you should choose this one. The food is great, and the service is amazing! This is the last place we went to before leaving for the airport, and how lucky we were that we managed (Google said it would be closed! So when you are nearby, just try). It is a high-end busy place, so for dinner it is probably better to have a reservation, but we managed to do a lunch walk in

Final thoughts

I'm sure that there are more great places to eat at, some of them were either closed or impossible to get in to while we were in Medellin, this list contains only the places that we did managed to eat at together with the conveniences that they provide (a late night taco is always a good advice!). If you think other places deserve to be in this list, let us know and we'll be sure to visit them the next time around!
