Quitana Roo is famous for cave diving (cenotes), so I went to Tulum to try. Here are my favorites
I have tried a few Cenotes to dive in the area. I have to say that I always preferred the ones with daylight as you can see things during the dive, this was no exception. Here are my absolute favorites
Carwash
Carwash is a huge cave, with a lot going on under it. It has a lot of underwater nature to be amazed by, and the rays of the sun that penetrate the water make the view magical!
Casa Cenote
This Cenote is a bit less impressive than Carwash, but the amazing thing about it is that it is on the ocean, so you can feel the changes between the sea-water and the sweet water from the river while underwater, an amazing experience!
Final thoughts
These cenotes are merely my favorites, there are plenty more and I did not have a bad experience in any. If you are looking for a place to do your cave-diving specialty, this is the place for you! Let me know if you find better cenotes to dive in than I did
